A well-cared-for fur lasts for years. A few simple habits are all it takes to preserve the beauty of your piece.
ON ARRIVAL
Hang your fur as soon as it arrives so it regains its shape after transport, and let any loose hairs shed naturally. Never shut your fur inside a garment bag, especially a plastic one: it needs to breathe.
OUT-OF-SEASON STORAGE
Store it on a wide, non-metal hanger, somewhere cool and away from light to keep the colour from oxidising.
EVERYDAY CARE
Avoid spraying perfume or aerosols directly onto the fur: they can damage the hairs.
RAIN OR SNOW
Let it dry naturally before putting it away. Never use a hairdryer or direct heat.
PROFESSIONAL CLEANING
Every two to three years, treat it to a full clean with a fur specialist: they will bring back the shine dulled by air and pollution.
